REVISITING OF GASTRIC SYPHILIS
Abstract
The problem of syphilis is currently still relevant, requiring special attention. Numerous scientific works on syphilis are devoted to the study of the general course of the infectious process, as the clinic, epidemiology changes, and is accompanied by the defeat of various organs and systems.
Study the state of the gastric mucosa and the qualitative composition of gastric secretions in patients with syphilis various forms.
We examined 98 patients with syphilis various forms aged from 20 to 60 years. Of these, there were 64 men (65.3%) and 34 women (34.7%). By age, the patients were distributed: 1 patient (1.2%) under the age of 20, 50 patients (58.8%) from 21 to 30, 31 patients (36.4%) from 31 to 40, and 3 patients (3.6%) over the age of 51.
Thus, studies of the functional state of the gastric mucosa in patients with various forms of syphilis before treatment indicate that using OGD, changes in the gastric mucosa are detected, mainly with the phenomena of various types of gastritis, and as the process progresses, erosion and gastric ulcers can join them later.
Examination of gastric juice contents and histological picture of biopsy material taken from gastric mucosa depending on the state of secretion acidity shows the role of syphilitic infection in the development of severe changes in the stomach among patients with syphilis.
